Maverick Cattle Company was established in 2006 by young cattle enthusiast Samuel Hunter, at Bogan Gate, New South Wales, Australia. After several years working with predominantly Red Angus and Angus cattle, the decision was made to start the stud. Foundation females were bought from the 2006 Red Angus National Show and Sale with further females being sourced on farm.

Maverick has enjoyed considerable success in both the show and sale ring. Cattle are exhibited at the NSW Beef Spectacular and Sydney Royal annually with bulls being sold on farm and at the Red Angus National Show & Sale each July.

Maverick will continue to breed from a nucleus herd of cows that are of superior quality, producing calves that exhibit more growth and refinement as well as being structurally sound and easy doing animals. By focusing on using maternal genetics that are proven and trialed Maverick will strive to produce an outstanding cow herd that are fertile and functional.

Bulls and females are available on property throughout the year.
